Introduction

In this online class, you will:

• Receive an overview of the technique of copper electroforming, to include safety considerations, equipment and supplies required.

• Learn about electroforming on inorganic materials (e.g. glass, plastic, etc.).

• Learn about electroforming on organic materials(e.g. twigs, acorn caps, etc.).

• Review troubleshooting techniques when things don’t work out as planned.

This introductory workshop will explain the process of copper electroforming in basic terms, and will show the process from the beginning through the end using samples. Students will develop the confidence to purchase a kit online and try it for themselves. I will be suggesting a source online for these materials, as well as covering how to make some of the items yourself.
